High Temperature Service BNi?2Brazing Alloy Powder

Method B: Dry powder filling (for complex shapes & localrepair)
Fix components, spread BNi?2 powder evenly along joint gaps. Removeexcess powder; use stoppers to prevent flow-out at hightemperature.
3. Vacuum Brazing Thermal Cycle
1. Pump furnace vacuum ≤5×10?3 Pa.
2. Binder burnout (for paste): hold at 600–900 °C for 20–60 min toremove organic residues.
3. Heat up at 5–15 °C/min.
4. Brazing hold: 1050–1100 °C, hold 10–30 min. BNi?2 solidus 970°C, liquidus 1000 °C. Extend holding time for aerospace parts fordiffusion treatment.
3. Thoroughly clean the workpiece faying surface to remove grease, oxide and fingerprints. Contamination leads to poor wetting andvoids.
4. For brazing paste, complete low-temperature drying and binderburnout before high-temperature heating to oid pores from organicdecomposition.
5. Control brazing temperature at 1050–1100 °C with proper holdingtime. Excessive holding will induce boron diffusion and embrittlethin base materials.
6. Use molybdenum or ceramic fixtures. Avoid common metal fixturesthat may react with workpieces at high temperatures.
7. Store BNi?2 powder in sealed, dry packaging to prevent moistureabsorption and surface oxidation.
8. Wear protective masks and gloves when handling powder to oidinhalation and direct skin contact.Rite Material

BNi-2 — The All-Rounder
Composition:? Ni-Cr-Si-B-Fe (Cr 6–8%, Si 4–5%, B 2.75–3.5%, Fe2.5–3.5%)
Melting & Brazing
Solidus 971 °C → Liquidus 999 °C (narrow 28 °C range)
Typical brazing: 1060–1120 °C
Why choose it
Contains chromium → best oxidation and corrosion resistance amongthe three
Excellent wettability and capillary flow on stainless steel, nickelsuperalloys, cobalt alloys
Narrow melt range → predictable process, less base-metal damage
