Cobalt Superalloy BNi?2 PowderBrazing Filler Metal

Chemical / food / pharma e:? stainless assemblies re, strong, corrosion-resistant joints
Short Sales Version (for posters / catalog)
BNi-2 nickel brazing powder? — Ni-Cr-Si-B-Fe alloy with a narrow971–999 °C melting range. It delivers excellent wettability, capillary flow, high-temperature strength, and oxidation/corrosionresistance. Ideal for vacuum and atmosphere brazing of stainlesssteel, nickel superalloys, cobalt alloys, and diamond tools.Gas-atomized, spherical, low-oxygen, customizable particle size —the industry-standard choice for high-performance brazedjoints.
Method B: Dry powder filling (for complex shapes & localrepair)
Fix components, spread BNi?2 powder evenly along joint gaps. Removeexcess powder; use stoppers to prevent flow-out at hightemperature.
3. Vacuum Brazing Thermal Cycle
1. Pump furnace vacuum ≤5×10?3 Pa.
2. Binder burnout (for paste): hold at 600–900 °C for 20–60 min toremove organic residues.
3. Heat up at 5–15 °C/min.
4. Brazing hold: 1050–1100 °C, hold 10–30 min. BNi?2 solidus 970°C, liquidus 1000 °C. Extend holding time for aerospace parts fordiffusion treatment.Rite Material
Watch out:? Higher brazing temperature than BNi-2; no chromium →limited oxidation resistance at elevated service temperatures
How to Decide — Quick Decision Tree
Step 1:? Does the part need oxidation/corrosion resistance at hightemperature?
Yes → BNi-2
No → Go to Step 2
Step 2:? Is the joint clearance very tight (≤0.05 mm) or theoverlap very long?
Yes → BNi-3
No → Go to Step 3
Step 3:? Do you need more ductility or he wider gaps (0.05–0.15mm)?
Yes → BNi-4
Still unsure → BNi-2? (it covers most cases)
One-Line Summary
Key Performance Properties
1. Excellent wettability and fluidity: Silicon and boron act asmelting depressants, giving BNi-2 outstanding capillary flow. Itcan thoroughly fill narrow brazing gaps (recommended gap: 30–100μm) and form dense, uniform metallurgical bonding with stainlesssteels, nickel & cobalt-based superalloys.
2. High joint strength & high-temperature performance: Brazedjoints retain high mechanical strength and good oxidationresistance at elevated temperatures. Post-brazing diffusion holdingcan further improve ductility and homogenize the brazed seam toreduce brittle phases.
3. Controlled base-metal impact: Its brazing temperature oidssevere grain growth of most high-temperature base materials, preserving the substrate’s original mechanical properties.RiteMaterial
