description

houghto- a medium speed oil suitable for use attemperatures up to 180of (82oc). it is based upon specialty solventrefined base oil to minimize oxidation and ensure consistentperformance under the most arduous of operating conditions. acarefully formulated additive package is incorporatedintouench gto reduce theduration of the vapor blanket cooling stage and provide moderatelyaccelerated characteristics, together with excellentoxidation resistance and thermal stability.

application

the accelerated characteristics provided byhoughto- the development of improved strength andhardness with minimum distortion in lower hardenability and lowalloy steels, heavy sectioned components or steels of borderlinehardenability.

houghto- suitable for use in all types of installations including open quench tanks,uench furnacesand continuous furnaces of the shaker hearth, cast link and meshbelt type. it is recommended particularly for applications wherestaining of components during should beminimized.
