high-speedengine oils

description

delo 6170 cfo40 is a highly dispersant, moderately alkaline diesel engine oil.it is intended for use in diesel engines used in railroad, powergeneration, oil well drilling, and marine and industrial servicere a zinc-free oil and generation 4 ll or generation 5lubricant characteristics. it is manufactured using the highest base oils and non chlorinated additives that offer lowengine wear and minimize used oil disposal issues.

typicalcharacteristics

recommendeduses

delo 6170 cfo40 is recommended for all railroad-type diesel engines used inmarine applications, power generation plants and offshore drillingrigs. it is also recommended for use in caterpillar and otherdiesel engines operating where sulphated ash levels above 1% areacceptable. delo 6170 cfo 40 is intended for use with distillatefuels with moderate sulphur content.

performancebenefi ts

1.high alkaline reserve

eliminatespremature oil drains due to depletion of alkalinity.

2.detergent properties

eliminatesring sticking and minimizes deposits in critical areas such as ringbelt, top deck, airbox and crankcase.

3.dispersant properties

dispersescombustion products resulting from blow-by, preventing oil ringclogging. extends oil fi lter life.

4.wear control

highalkalinity minimizes corrosive wear. protects highly loaded partsfrom scuffi ng through excellent extreme pressureproperties.

5.oxidation stability

minimizesviscosity increase caused by oxidation of the oil.

6.silver bearing lubrication

providessuperior lubrication of the silver wrist pin bearings used ingm-emd engines and effectively protects them from smearing andcorrosion.
