Silicone baking mats can be used in just about any normal gs orelectric oven, you place it into your baking tray as a linerinstead of parchment paper and then place your foods on top of themat and bake as normal. The special silicone and glass-fiber designis totally non-stick and very easy to clean.
The mats are safe to use up to temperatures of 450 degrees F, soyou can use them when baking cakes, cookies, flapjack anythingreally! The mat will heat your food evenly unlike some traditionaltrays which can have hot and cool spots, so you will get a muchmore even bake using a silpat mat, and because it is non-stickthere is no need to grease!
