    thetrafag gas density sensor type 8774 was specifically designed forsurveying insulation gases.
    the gas density is measured with anuartz with excellent long term stability. the constantuency of a quartz oscillator
under vacuum is compared with the resonant frequency ofuartz situated in the sample gas. the difference in theresonant frequency is proportional to the density of the samplegas. the measured density is proportional to the pulse frequency orto the ma output.

    with thedigital variant additionally the temperature can be measured overthe pulse width of the frequency signal.
