EN 1860標(biāo)準(zhǔn)適用于使用固體燃料的燒烤爐具，但單一用途的燒烤爐除外。其他類型的燒烤爐如果在設(shè)計上可以從燃燒其他燃料的轉(zhuǎn)換為使用固體燃料也適用本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
對于手提箱式燒烤爐，應(yīng)當(dāng)能夠根據(jù)燒烤爐制造商說明書的方法，不需要使用工具，或使用制造商同機(jī)提供的工具，即可方便地進(jìn)行組裝或拆卸。燒烤爐上的部件在組裝之后應(yīng)當(dāng)能夠牢固在保持在原始位置，在運(yùn)輸過程中不會脫落下來。
在組裝、操作和維護(hù)燒烤爐時，燒烤爐部件上的邊緣或有棱角之處，不允許帶有可能對人體造成傷害的任何毛刺、粗糙的表面、以及鋒利的邊緣等。
如果發(fā)現(xiàn)燒烤爐出現(xiàn)下列問題，則表明該燒烤爐不符合標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求：
a) 任何部件發(fā)生了危及燒烤爐的使用性能和安全性的任何變形； b) 任何部件發(fā)生了斷裂和/或破碎的現(xiàn)象；
注：性燒烤爐可能會發(fā)生斷裂和/或破碎的現(xiàn)象，但不影響燒烤爐的安全性能；
c) 任何部件發(fā)生脫落現(xiàn)象；
b) 在試驗過程中，用于放置燒烤爐的底托的溫度超過了70℃。
