Our lab can offeryou tests according to DIN 4102-1, A1/A2, B1 and B2.

DIN 4102 tests are definedby the German Institute for Building Technology (DeutschesIntstitut für Bautechnik – DIBt) and are accepted for products tobe used in buildings.

Kindly check if anABP(Allgemeines bauaufsichtliches Prüfzeugnis) is required forapplication of his product. If you need an ABP, please let me know,so that we can submit an offer to you.

Furthermore we assume thatyour material is not used as a floor covering.

I. Scope ofservices

Pos. 1  Test followingDIN 4102-1 (A1/A2), Non-combustibility, in theA-oven

For the test at least 6specimens per material are required with the followingdimensions

(L) 40 mm x (W) 40 mm x (H)50 mm (tolerance +/-1 mm)

If the specimens have to bebuilt by use of single layers, the layers have to be cut to 40 x 50mm (L x H). The layers combined have to form a specimen being 40 mmthick (width).

In case of constructionmaterials with different characteristics longitudinal andperpendicar to direction of production, half of the specimens haveto be taken from each direction.

Construction materials ffillthe re for classification to Class A1 if,…

- the oven test is passedand

- the re for classA2 are ffilled; it may be resigned to conduct the test in parts orcompletely, if the ffilment of these re can be assessedwithout any doubt.  

For a complete compliancewith the classification in addition the tests on class A2 in the?Brandschacht“ (B1-testing apparatus with higher re) andin the B2-cabinet (small flame test) wod have to be conducted.Maybe the smoke densitiy tests for construction materials accordingclass A have to be conducted as well – if re If you are inneed of the smoke density tests as well, we wod appreciate to beinformed accordingly for sending an additional offer.

Pos. 2   DIN 4102 part 1, class B1

For the test according toDIN 4102 part 1, class B1 we need in total 16 samples with thefollowing dimensions:

1000 mm long, 190 mm wide,original thickness.

If the test rest is notoious with the first test, the standard asks for 2 additional testsper direction, so in total 3 tests per direction. Each additionaltest:

Pleasenote:

Materials with an orientation,e.g. foils, leathers, textiles, have to be examined in eachdirection (warp and weft) with 16 samples along and
16 samplestransverse to production direction. Please mark productiondirection.

Costs increaseaccordingly.

For the tests you can decideon your own, if you want only one test per direction or the threetests per direction according to the standard.

Please be aware, that thetest with freely suspended material is not valid for constructionswith this material in combination with other layers (e.g. adhesive,wood, ....).  The burning behavior of panels in end usecondition have to be tested separately.

 
Pos. 3   DIN 4102 part 1, class B2 (mandatory pre-testfor B1-test)

For the test according toDIN 4102 part 1, class B2 (mandatory pre-test for B1-test) we needin total 12 samples per product with the followingdimensions:

6 samples with 190 mm long, 90mm wide, original thickness. E.g. 1.Edgeflaming:

Materials with an orientation, e.g. foils, leathers, textiles, haveto be examined in each direction (e.g. warp and weft) with 12samples along and 12 samples transverse to production direction.Please mark production direction.

If there are differentthicknesses we need 12 samples of the material with minimumthickness and 12 samples of maximum thickness.

Further, if the material isproduced in different colours, the lightest and the darkest colouras well as the deepest red shade has to be tested for the fl rangeof colours of a product.

Climatization: before B2 atleast 14 days in standard atmosphere DIN 50014-23/50-2

Sometimes it is onlypossible to determine the exact scope of testing for variousproducts after knowing all of the product variants (colors, weightper unit area).

The above mentioned pricesinclude a report in English language per complete test andmaterial.

When we see that the productwill not ffill the re then we will stop the test andinform you.

Currently examination periodwill take about 3-4 weeks after placing of a written order andreceiving of material at lab – depending on climatizationre.
