Test Methods for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Power SystematSubzero Environment
1 SCOPE
Thisstandardspecifies the general safety re, test conditions,testplatform, routine tests before subzero test, subzero testmethodand test report of the proton exchange membrane fuel cellpowersystem (PEM-FCPS) at subzero (below 0°C) environment.
This standard applies to the tests for storage, startup andworkingperformance of the PEM-FCPS with air as oxidant at subzero(below0°C) environment.
This standard is applicable to the integrated fuel cellpowersystem.
Note: the system is composed of some or all of thefollowingcomponents as needed to perform designated functions:
? Fuel processing system: the system that meters,conditions,processes, and regulates the pressure of theuired for thefuel cell power system.
? Fuel cell module: it consists of one or more fuel cellstacks,electrical coupling devices for transmitting electricalenergy ofthe stack, and monitoring devices.
? Onboard energy storage device: the energy storage devicese in thesystem intended to aid or complement the fuel cellmodule inproviding power to internal or external loads.
