BIS is the National Standard Body ofIndia established under the BISAct 1986 for the harmonious development of theactivities ofstandardization, marking and certification of goods andformatters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

BIS認證是ISI認證發(fā)證機構(gòu)印度標準局（TheBureau of IndianStandards），簡稱BIS，具體負責產(chǎn)品認證工作，它是印度唯一的產(chǎn)品認證機構(gòu)。 

BIS certification is The Bureau of IndianStandards (BIS),which is responsible for product certification. It is theonlyproduct certification organization in India.

目前，BIS已頒發(fā)產(chǎn)品認證證書3萬多份，涵蓋農(nóng)產(chǎn)品、紡織品、電子等幾乎每一個工業(yè)領(lǐng)域。BIS產(chǎn)品認證通過對工廠質(zhì)量管理體系的初次檢驗和評定，樣品檢測，確認合格后發(fā)證，認證后由工廠質(zhì)量管理體系監(jiān)督。通過對工廠和市場上抽取樣品進行檢測，來確定產(chǎn)品是否與印度標準保持一致。  

Up to now, BIS has issued more than 30,000 productcertification.certificates covering almost every industrial field suchasagrictural products, textiles and electronics. The BIS productcertificationpasses the initial inspection and evaluation of thefactory managementsystem, sample testing, and thecertification is issued after passing thecertification. After thecertification, it is supervised by the factory managementsystem to determine whether the product is consistent withIndianstandards by testing samples taken at the factory and in themarket.

1、申請　Apply

想要獲得BIS認證的國外賣家一般需要使用專用的申請書，并準備相關(guān)文件向BIS新德里總部申請；

Foreign sellers who want to obtain BIS certificationgenerally needto use a special application and prepare relevant documents toapplyto BIS New Delhi head;

2、記錄　Record

BIS將對查申請者提交的申請文件和資料進行審查，如手續(xù)完備，將申請記錄在案（申請者須交納相應(yīng)的處理費）；

BIS will review the application documents and materialssubmitted bythe applicant. If the procedures are complete, the applicationwillbe recorded (the applicant must pay the corresponding processingfee);

3、初次工廠檢驗　Initialfactory inspection

BIS將指派不超過2人的官員團赴工廠檢驗，而申請者也需承擔官員團赴工廠檢驗的差旅、簽證費用等開支及相應(yīng)的檢驗費用；

BIS will assign an official group with less than 2 personsto thefactory for inspection, and the applicant will also be responsibleforthe travel expenses, visa fees and other expenses incurred bythe officialgroup to the factory inspection and the correspondinginspection fees;

4、頒發(fā)證書　Issuecertificates

如果初次檢驗和測試結(jié)果合格，且申請者同意認證后執(zhí)行BIS認可的檢驗測試方案并支付BIS標識費，BIS可以向申請者頒發(fā)證書，證書有效期為1年。證書授予后，執(zhí)證者每年要支付標識費以及證書年費。

If the initial inspection and test rests are ,and theapplicant agrees to the BIS-approved inspection test plan and paystheBIS identification fee after approval, the BIS may issue acertificate to theapplicant, and the certificate is valid for oneyear. After the certificate isgranted, the licensees are re pay the logo fee and the annualcertificate fee.

5、監(jiān)督　Supervision

BIS將通過對執(zhí)證人的常規(guī)監(jiān)督和對工廠、市場上的樣品進行突擊檢查和測試，監(jiān)督其認證產(chǎn)品的質(zhì)量。如果定期檢查，從工廠或市場抽取的試樣經(jīng)該工廠檢驗和獨立檢測結(jié)果滿足要求，證書可予以更新。執(zhí)證者通過提交指定表格向BIS提出更新申請，另外執(zhí)證者還需承擔樣品檢驗費用。

BIS will supervise the of its certified productsthroughroutine supervision of the licensee and urgent inspections andtests onsamples from the factory and the market. If the sample istaken from thefactory or the market, the factory inspection andindependent test rests meetthe re, the certificate can beupdated. The licensees submitapplications for renewal to BIS bysubmitting the specified form, and thelicensee is also required tobear the sample inspection fee.
